I don’t know about if those two auditioned or not, but the roles have been cast! Ian will be played by Jake Abel and Jared will be played by Max Irons.
We do know, however, that the following actors read for the roles of Ian and Jared:
For Jared: Liam Hemsworth, Kit Harington, Jai Courtney, and Max Irons
For Ian: Dane DeHaan, Thomas McDonnell, Augustus Prew, Jake Abel
